VDES (Virtual Desire Events) wanted one system for every kind of event. Venues and suppliers list their services, customers compare and choose, and the business can grow across Asia without rebuilding its technology.

The challenge

The platform had to handle a large catalog of venues and services, fast search and separate tools for suppliers, while staying easy for search engines to index so customers could find it.

What we built

We built VDES with Next.js for a fast, SEO-friendly front end and Loopback 4 on the backend, with MongoDB and MySQL. The work covers the customer site, catalog and search, an extranet for venues and suppliers, and the mobile experience. We have supported VDES for more than four years, including through Covid-19, when the business kept running and scaling on the same infrastructure.
